Happy 190th Mr. Olmsted!
On April 26th, to commemorate the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, Riverside’s Olmsted Society will kicked off the FRED festivities with a birthday party at Centennial Plaza from 5:30pm to 7pm. 30 outdoor local artist decorated, professionally planted containers are now in the CBD.
FRED is an unprecedented three-day education and networking event bringing experts and homeowners together on garden and landscape design in Riverside, Illinois. Using the “campus” of this National Historic Landmark community, you can explore the newest trends and classic concepts of design through professional and public educational seminars, walking tours and charettes from the days of Riverside’s design master, Frederick Law Olmsted to today’s hottest ideas. FRED is sponsored by the Frederick Law Olmsted Society of Riverside, Illinois.
