What’s in the works for the Salt Creek Greenway Trail? Join us for a talk by bicycle path design expert David Landeweer about the past and future of this scenic trail. Landeweer, a Senior Project Manager with TERRA Engineering, will discuss what it takes to build such a trail that spans two counties, and offers access to natural beauty and cultural heritage to bicyclists, hikers, and joggers. He will show how Chicago-area trails contribute to the health and economic viability of surrounding communities. Landeweer will give us a glimpse of what’s ahead for connections between trails like the Salt Creek Greenway and the Centennial Trail that runs from Willow Springs Road in Cook County to Will County.
