David Odd, a professional food forager, will present at the Riverside Public Library, lead a foraging walk in Riverside, and host a meal with foraged ingredients at the Chew Chew Restaurant.

Dave Odd, Chicagoland’s only professional full time forager, will give a hands-on presentation of edible and medicinal wild plants and mushrooms that you can find right in your own backyard. Dave has been a wildlife educator and forager since his formative years and can now identify over 3000 edible and medicinal wild plants and mushrooms. He has provided foraged goods to over two dozen Michelin starred restaurants, worked with celebrity chefs, fed Martha Stewart, and has been featured on The Discovery Channel, WTTW, NPR, The Washington Post, Chicago Magazine, and much more. Dave has been giving his approachable Eat the Neighborhood Foraging Tours for the public since 2010.
