Riverside, Illinois – Riverside Arts Weekend will take place May 21th and 22th in Riverside, IL. This is the 9th year for this dynamic weekend of visual and performing arts. More than 70 juried artists from across the United States present their high-quality artworks including painting, sculpture, glass, ceramics, wood, fiber, jewelry and mixed media.

Sample some great food and drink while you listen to music – all under the trees in beautiful Guthrie Park. Stop by the Riverside Arts Center tent for a hands-on art adventure for adults and children. Check out RAW’s latest art spectacle – tandem bikes in nature. This art spectacle is a collaborative effort, created to celebrate art, community and the connection to green spaces.

Events occur in the center of Riverside in Guthrie Park, 90 Bloomingbank Road, next to the Metra train station, 10 miles west of Chicago. Hours are Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm. The event is free. Food and drink are available.

Riverside Arts Weekend is free and open to the public. It was named one of the Top Ten Spring Events by ChicagoTraveler.com: “The diversity that is contained inside Guthrie Park this weekend is quite astonishing.”

Riverside is a National Historic Landmark Village designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the Father of Landscape Architecture. Riverside is a unique and historic setting with expansive green parkways, curvilinear streets, remarkable architecture, and gas-lit street lanterns.
