Undamming the Des Plaines

Dismantling Hofmann Dam has already begun to have a
ripple effect on the Des Plaines River’s water quality and
fish habitat. On March 11th, Steve Pescitelli, Illinois Department of Natural
Resources Stream Specialist, shared the latest river
monitoring results in order to show the contrast between
the “before” and “after” of dam removal.
