Down by the River
Down by the River
Down by the river
In the old, old park
I can feel a shiver
And it’s getting pretty dark.
There stands a tree
The size of three
So very old
As ancient as gold.
The old gas street lights
Show me the way.
They guide me along,
From night until day.
All the streets winding
Is hard for the finding
If I get too dizzy
No one’s too busy
To help me find my way.
