The day was perfect for the dozen, hard-working volunteers that planted & mulched 10 trees & 22 shrubs along the Longcommon, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in 1868. The plants installed are part of a donation from long-time FLOS volunteer, Carolyn Huson. Thank you, Carolyn! Riverside Forester, Mike Collins returned to the site after the workday to thoroughly water all 32 newly installed plants. The planting on this gorgeous day is dedicated to Mike Collins’ Aunt & godmother, Connie Collins, who recently passed away.
