Nature Lover
Nature Lover
While I walk the eroded path,
Shells crunch under my feet.
I see three duckies take a bath,
I feel the sun’s sweet heat.
Geese groupies gape at me,
The river rapids are high today.
Squirrels scamper up a tree,
While the water snake sidles away.
The birds are bickering,
The icy water tickles my toes.
The fireflies are flickering,
I see green in the leaves of the gingkoes.
As a nature lover, I am fond
Of the natural spaces of Swan Pond.
