Blythe Park

Blythe Park
The friends
The laughs
The drama
We never said
When to meet
Or where
We all just knew
We would all be there
It didn’t matter who came
The park made us all one
We were a family
Secrets were shared
Games were played
Laughs were made
Pranks were pulled
Climbing the towering pine tree
Carving our names
The night games never ended
There was never a limit
The swings seemed to make us fly
Jumping off
Feeling a rush
The thud of the ground underneath
There are so many stories to tell
Experiences to describe
Images to depict
Yet you’d only understand
If you had joined the fun
Become part of our one
Even when friends have changed
When we grow a little older
And move up in grades
We are the same there
You are our childhood
You are our memories
You are our everything
Your swings
Your slides
Your monkeybars and trees
They seem like nothing
But they are the framework
To our picture perfect childhood
So here’s to you
