The Love of Riverside

The Love of Riverside

Birds chirping, kids playing
Squirrels scampering, Bugs squirming
Trains rumbling, flowers blooming
The breeze blows my hair like nature has somewhere to go
The grass pricks my bare feet as I run though the park
The river curves along the bank, the trees bow down like soldiers
Bowing down to their king, Des Plaines.
The birds chirp a message, a beautiful song for everybody to hear
The flowers like us, close, loving and caring
The Water Tower stands proud
The river current flows over the rocks
The houses of different architecture
The neighbors waving
Riverside
