A Bird’s Eye View of Riverside,” was a lecture and discussion on how to attract birds to your garden and landscape. It was presented by birder and native gardener Melinda Pruett-Jones, former executive director of Chicago Wilderness and current executive director of the American Ornithological Society. She talked about how specific plantings can be used to help sustain migrant and resident birds. She reviewed successful restoration techniques that have attracted birds and other wildlife to Riverside’s parks.
