Landscape Workdays: October 5 & 12, 2019

On October 5th, FLOS volunteers planted over 700 Common Oak, Eastern Star, Curley-Styled Wood, Little Bluestem, Silky Wild Rye and Long-Beak Sedges along Riverside Road close to the swinging  bridge. With this planting, FLOS has cleared invasive species and planted grasses and sedges from Blackhawk Road to the swinging bridge.

We were visited by Mark Ross, one of our volunteers who is ill and can’t join us anymore.  That was a terrific moment when we could all be together.

On October 12th, volunteers collected and spread seeds from the sedges and grasses we planted over the years.
